Driving Innovation in Agile Organizations

Pause to innovate, and your company will cease to exist pretty quickly thereafter. In the current business climate, “innovation” should not just be a part of your company’s vision, but it also needs to be embedded in the cultural fabric of your organization and must be practiced relentlessly. As companies brace themselves for agile transformation, one key area that needs the utmost attention is—how to build a culture of innovation that can coexist with the agile delivery framework, or SAFe as we know it. In this session, we will focus on the significance of innovation and how an agile transformation journey can potentially disrupt the culture of innovation in a company, contrary to popular beliefs. We will explore common pitfalls and vulnerabilities of a company that is starting with it’s agile journey and discuss ways to address the gaps around innovation. This session will also focus on outlining the synergy between innovation and agile, and how matured organizations harness this synergy to excel in the marketplace. We will break down the two heavy subjects that are “innovation” and “agile” and explain how suboptimal agile processes can drive away innovation from an organization. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to share their perspective and experiences.
